How to get to Chile.
The main international airport in Chile is Arturo Merino Benítez airport, located in Santiago (SCL), Chile’s capital city.
All international flights arrive in Santiago (SCL) and from there you are able to combine flights to the North or South of Chile.
A flight from Miami, USA, takes around 8 hours to Santiago de Chile.
From New York to Santiago, a flight should take around 10 hours without any stop and about 12 or more hours depending on stops and layovers.
From Europe a flight can take 12 to 18 hours depending on the country you fly from and if the flight goes straight to Santiago or if it includes stops along the way.
Is travel safe in Chile in 2024-2025
Chile has always been considered one of the safest countries in Central and South America, due to its professional and capable police, as well as the local law and order.
In terms of security, nowadays we have experienced an increase in delinquency rate (as many countries around the globe!), however, when assisted by a travel company, the odds of having a negative experience is tremendously reduced.

Chile is located in western South America.
Up North it borders with Perú, in the Nort-East, with Bolivia and in the East it is separated from Argentina by the magestic Andes mountain range, Cordillera de Los Andes.
Chile is the longest and thinnest stretch of earth you can find at the bottom left corner of South America.
